The Volunteer Group holds Afternoon Gardening Teas once a week from March to October: weeding and other ad hoc garden duties followed by afternoon tea, with tidbits of advice from Maurice or other experts and the occasional plants or flowers to take home.
Most Volunteers participate regularly – weekly, some only once a month (March – October) especially if from further afield – but it’s always great to see them.
Volunteering gives people a chance to see the garden’s transformation through its different seasons week by week, and to discover its most beautiful details.
Afternoon Gardening Teas
We start at 2.00pm, with tea at 4.00pm (or so). Rain stops play.
The session calendar for 2026 has begun: to join a Volunteer session, or for any questions about volunteering, email Clare Foster (Chair, WHFAF Foundation) at whitehousefarmarb@gmail.com
