Friends also operate the Volunteer Group, who hold Afternoon Gardening Teas roughly once a week from March to October: weeding, tidying and light garden duties followed by afternoon tea, with tidbits of advice from Maurice or other experts and the occasional plants or flowers to take home.
The only request is that Volunteers participate regularly – most come weekly, some only once a month (March – October) but it’s always great to see them.
Volunteering gives people a chance to see the garden’s transformation through its different seasons week by week, and to discover its most beautiful details.
Afternoon Gardening Teas
Afternoon gardening teas are from 2.00pm onwards, with tea at 4.00pm (or so).
Weekly sessions for 2025 have begun: to join a Volunteer session, or for any questions about volunteering, email Clare Foster (Chair, WHFAF Foundation) at whitehousefarmarb@gmail.com
